American Beat writer Jack Kerouac's early work is thought to have been written on an Underwood typewriter like this one above. Five million of these manual typewriters were manufactured by 1939. This one may have been made sometime in the 1920s according to mytypewriter.com.
Last week's auction in 42N country included this model. The pallet made up of a mish-mash of items failed to generate any bids. The items are either kept for the next auction or are pitched if determined to be worthless. Know that.
